What does a verification include?+
One verification is one eligibility and benefits check for a patient against their payer. The result shows coverage status, the benefit details the payer returned, flags for anything missing or conflicting, and can be downloaded as a PDF summary.
How much does Insurance Copilot cost?+
$299 per location per month, which includes 400 verifications. Insurance Copilot is priced separately from the other PracticePilot plans.
What happens if we go over 400 verifications in a month?+
Each verification beyond the 400 included in a month is billed at $0.50. For example, 450 verifications in a month would add 50 × $0.50 = $25.00 for that location.
Will every payer return the same benefit details?+
No. Benefit details vary by payer and plan. Some payers return deductibles, maximums, and frequencies, and others return less. Anything the payer did not return is listed on the verification so your team knows what to confirm directly.
Does a verified result guarantee the claim will be paid?+
No. A verification reflects what the payer reported at the time of the check. It is not a guarantee of payment. Final payment depends on the payer's review of the claim, the patient's plan terms, and the services provided.
What gets flagged for review?+
Missing information (like a member ID or subscriber), inactive coverage for the service date, and patient or insurance details that conflict with what the payer returned. Flagged patients stay in the queue until a team member resolves them.
Can we upload insurance card images?+
Yes. Staff can upload insurance card images for a patient and review them alongside the patient's verification history.
